Software
Installation
FACULTY: Depending on your department, you may have additional software available. These programs may be automatically “pushed” to your computer upon start-up, or an IT staff member may install them directly to your computer.
If you need a software program installed, please contact us. Please make sure you have the proof of license, as well as the software media.

Licensing
All software installed on Buckley devices must be licensed for either business or academic use. The only exceptions are for Open-Source or Freeware software. Any Shareware software must be licensed according to the author’s guidelines.

Proof of License
Buckley is responsible for its licenses, and must be able to provide the proof of license for every installed software package. Copies of the purchase order, or invoices from the company noting the license key and designated recipient will usually suffice. In the event of a software audit, Buckley IT will help you by providing proof of licenses for any software licensed through the campus site licenses. We strongly recommend that all licenses are maintained by Buckley IT.
