Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) Program
A Bring Your Own Laptop (BYOL) program is considered best practice among independent schools in Los Angeles and across the country. All sixth through twelfth grade students are required to bring their own fully charged laptops to school each day.
DEVICE REQUIREMENTS
Apple Laptop
Processor: Apple Silicon M2 chip or newer
(M3 recommended for longevity if purchasing new)
Operating System: macOS 15.0 (Sequoia) or later
Memory (RAM):

Recommended:16GB for multitasking, creative apps, and long-term use
Storage:

Minimum: 256GB SSD

Recommended: 512GB SSD for coursework, media projects, and OS growth
Camera & Microphone: Built-in (HD webcam minimum)
Wireless: Wi-Fi (802.11ac or newer)
Bluetooth: Yes
Security Software: Built-in macOS security features required
