Printing

Information on printing from personal or Buckley-owned devices.

Buckley IT provides printer hosting on the network via a Windows print server.  This service includes printer troubleshooting, setup and configuration. Permissions to each printer are granted by Buckley IT at the direction of division heads, department chairs or department managers, and set with AD security groups. 

Buckley IT is responsible for supporting the server infrastructure, granting printer access and permissions, and making backups and recovering from server problems.

Printer Locations
LOWER SCHOOL
Color laserjet printers are provide for each classroom.

MIDDLE SCHOOL & UPPER SCHOOL
Color laserjet printers are provided for in each departmental office. A limited number of rooms are equipped with monochrome printers.

STAFF OFFICES
Printers are provided to staff members for either individual use or departmental use.

​

STUDENT PRINTERS
Students have the ability to print to selected student printers around campus. For student printer locations please reach out to Buckley IT at ext. 755 or call (818) 461-6755.

High Volume Print/Copy
For all high volume printing/copying jobs, please email Buckley's print shop, thenderson@buckley.org. 


Purchasing and Setup
All printer purchases must be approved by Buckley IT.
Once an approved and supported printer has been purchased, Buckley IT will configure and install the device.


Printer Accounting
Buckley IT keeps track of printing activity via a printing management software. The software keeps a track of number of pages printed and also helps apply print permissions and quotas. 


Support
Buckley IT strives to respond to tickets and request as soon as possible during normal business hours, our standard request turnaround is 1-2 business days for cartridge replacements.

Buckley IT provides monochrome (black and white) copiers around campus. The copier features include:

  • Monochrome copying, with added features such as:

    • Stapling

    • Duplexing

    • Hole-punch

  • Scan-to-Email (scanning in color). Formats supported:

    • PDF

    • JPEG

  • Printing to a copier

    • Optionally, you may install a copier as a printer. For install instructions, please refer to the printing instructions above

Copier Leasing

All campus copiers are on a 60-month lease. This helps Buckley maintain a fresh fleet of copiers.

Support and Recovery

Buckley IT strives to respond to tickets and request as soon as possible during normal business hours. Our copier vendor's standard request turnaround is 1-2 business days for normal wear and tear. Turnaround may take additional days if replacement parts are not readily available.
